Nicole Rosenkötter

I am a public health expert with a special interest in population health monitoring and reporting. I studied public health first in Hamburg and then in Maastricht, where I also did my PhD research on population health monitoring and reporting on European Union level. From 2013 to 2021, I was involved in population health monitoring and reporting activities on federal state level in Germany and since 2021 I am active as a consultant at the Academy for Public Health. In the past I worked as consultant for the WHO European Region and I am still giving lectures on population health monitoring and reporting at my alma mater in Hamburg.

The Academy of Public Health supports JoinUs4Health in reaching out to local public health services. We make use of our quarterly magazine “Blickpunkt Öffentliche Gesundheit” as well as of our homepage and social media channels to spread the information. In addition, we organise webinars to engage with public health services.

I am especially interested how public health services can make use of the participatory approach inherited in JoinUs4Health. Either by helping to shape research questions and projects, by making use of the data for population health monitoring and reporting or for using the evidence generated through citizen involvement for the implementation of interventions.
