Main objective:

To unravel etiology, preclinical course, natural history and potential targets for intervention of chronic diseases in mid-life and late-life.

Research focus:

The study focuses on:

  • psychiatric
  • dermatological
  • otolaryngological
  • locomotor
  • respiratory diseases.
Additionally extensive data on genetics, imaging and the microbiome are collected.

Examinations:

Home-interviews, study center examinations and coverage on health events through continous digital linkage with medical records.

Ommoord (Rotterdam area)

Age at enrolment:

40 years onwards

Time between examinations:

4 to 6 years
