Consequently, the examination programmes are the most comprehensive that have ever been applied to a general population sample worldwide.<\/p>\nImportant examined diseases are:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Cardiovascular diseases<\/li>\n \t<li>Diabetes mellitus<\/li>\n \t<li>Liver- and gall bladder diseases<\/li>\n \t<li>Neurological diseases<\/li>\n \t<li>Endocrine diseases<\/li>\n \t<li>Dental diseases<\/li>\n \t<li>Lung diseases<\/li>\n \t<li>Addiction and risk behaviour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally extensive data on familial and professional environment, on nutrition and the use of
